About Pancras of Rome

Pancras was a teenage martyr, only 14 years old when killed for his faith. Orphaned and brought to Rome by his uncle, Pancras converted to Christianity. During Diocletian's persecution, Pancras was arrested and brought before Emperor Diocletian himself. Despite his youth and offers of wealth and status, Pancras refused to sacrifice to pagan gods. He was beheaded on the Via Aurelia. His youth, courage, and steadfast faith made him widely venerated. Many churches bear his name, including St. Pancras Station in London. His example inspired countless young Christians to remain faithful despite persecution.
