About Olga of Kiev

Olga was a Kievan Rus princess who converted to Christianity around 957, becoming the first Rus ruler to be baptized. Though her son remained pagan, she laid foundations for Russia's Christianization, which her grandson Vladimir completed. She built churches and promoted Christianity. Venerated as "Equal to the Apostles" in Orthodox tradition.
