About Faustina Kowalska
Faustina Kowalska was a Polish nun who received visions of Jesus as Divine Mercy. She recorded these in her "Diary," which Jesus instructed her to write. The Divine Mercy image, chaplet, and novena originated from her visions. Despite tuberculosis and spiritual trials, she promoted God's mercy. Divine Mercy Sunday (first Sunday after Easter) celebrates this devotion. Canonized 2000.
