Felix of Nola

About Felix of Nola

Felix was a priest in Nola who endured persecution under Emperor Decius. Imprisoned and tortured, he was miraculously freed by an angel to help his bishop Maximus. After the persecution ended, Felix lived humbly, refusing the bishopric. He died peacefully around 260 AD. Paulinus of Nola wrote extensively about Felix, making him one of the most celebrated early Italian saints.
