About Baruch

Baruch was the scribe and secretary of the prophet Jeremiah. He wrote down Jeremiah's prophecies and read them publicly, risking his life. When King Jehoiakim burned the scroll, Baruch rewrote it. He remained faithful to Jeremiah through persecution and Jerusalem's fall. The Book of Baruch, included in Catholic and Orthodox Bibles, contains wisdom teachings and prophecies attributed to him. Baruch represents faithful service and witness, supporting God's prophet in difficult times. Venerated as a prophet in Christian tradition.
