Elder Ephraim of Katounakia (not to be confused with Elder Ephraim of Arizona) was a Greek Orthodox monk and spiritual father on Mount Athos. He lived in the Katounakia area of Athos as a hermit for over 60 years, following an extremely ascetic life. Known for clairvoyance, healing, and spiritual wisdom, Elder Ephraim guided many monks and pilgrims. He emphasized prayer, humility, and obedience. He died in February 1998. Orthodox Christians commemorate him on February 27 and attribute miracles to his intercession. He represents the continuing tradition of Athonite spiritual eldership.
