Saint Cyriacus was an early Christian martyr revered for his unwavering faith during the intense persecutions under Emperor Diocletian. According to tradition, he was a deacon or priest who courageously ministered to Christians condemned to death, offering them spiritual support and encouragement.

His acts of faith led to his arrest and torture. Despite brutal treatment, Cyriacus remained steadfast, refusing to renounce Christianity. He was ultimately executed, becoming a symbol of courage and pastoral dedication. He is venerated in both Eastern and Western Christian traditions, remembered as a protector against demonic influence and a patron saint of prisoners and captives.
