About Agilberta
Agilberta was a nun at Jouarre in seventh-century Gaul. She succeeded Theodechilde as the community’s second abbess around 662.
The official account places her death around 680 and associates her burial with the monastery’s Merovingian crypt. The community’s later veneration included the public enshrinement of her remains in 1617.
