Aichardus is remembered as a monk of Saint-Jouin who later led the community at Jumièges. The received account associates his earlier formation with Poitiers and a community at Quincay.
It places his death around 687 and his burial at Jumièges. The church source states that none of the three known biographies is entirely trustworthy.
