About Astius

The passion says that a foreboding dream preceded Astius’s arrest. It recounts that he endured torture without renouncing Christ and was crucified; Christians then buried his body.Modern scholarship emphasizes that Astius’s identity and story are known through hagiographic, archaeological, and liturgical reception; the narrative is not contemporary documentation.
