Audifax

About Audifax

The Roman Martyrology remembers Audifax with his parents Marius and Martha and his brother Abachum. Its shared narrative says that the Persian family came to Rome in the time of Claudius and suffered martyrdom together. It gives Audifax no separate work, words, or death scene. The surviving account thus preserves his name within the family commemoration while leaving the circumstances of his own life unknown.
