Azenor of Brittany

About Azenor of Brittany

Azenor is remembered in Breton devotion as the mother of Budoc. The Diocese of Quimper and Léon explicitly presents her story as legend.

In that story, she survives a false accusation and is sent out to sea while pregnant; Budoc is born during the journey.

The diocesan notice records relief panels depicting her story at Plourin-Ploudalmézeau and a statue at Lesneven.
