Vatican sources associate the Roman cult of Beatrix with the Generosa catacomb and burial near her brothers Simplicius and Faustinus. A later Passion says she recovered and buried their bodies and was strangled. The catacomb context is distinct from those later narrative episodes, which should be presented as tradition.
