Bertin

About Bertin

A charter dated 692 identifies Bertin as abbot of the monastery at Sithiu. Later monastic Lives recount his training at Luxeuil and work with Omer, but they were written generations afterward and belong to hagiographic memory. The later sources disagree on his death date, so no exact year is established here.
