Cajetan of Thiene (Gaetano Thiene) was a sixteenth-century Italian priest and co-founder of the Theatine Clerics Regular. A scholarly biography traces his work through clerical service and reform communities in Rome, Venice, and Naples. The surviving sources support his public career more securely than devotional stories about private visions; those are omitted here. The Holy See lists his Roman Catholic memorial on August 7.
