Clateus is a name in the received early episcopal list of Brescia. A modern church-history overview describes the first names in that list, including Clateus, as lacking significant documentary detail; it does not establish a personal chronology or martyrdom account. A short biography can therefore say only that later Brescian tradition remembered him among its early bishops. June 4 is a Roman Martyrology commemoration, not independent evidence for the list’s chronology.
