About Corebus
The April 18 Roman Martyrology remembers Corebus as a prefect at Messina who, according to the received account, was converted by Eleutherius and died by the sword. No independent contemporary evidence for Corebus or these episodes was located. A short entry is possible only as a report of the martyrological tradition; it should not turn the story into verified second-century biography or add a precise date.
