Dionysius the Areopagite

About Dionysius the Areopagite

Acts places Dionysius among those who heard Paul in Athens and joined his message after the speech at the Areopagus. It does not continue with an account of his later life, office, or death. Later writers used the name Dionysius for a separate theological corpus, and church calendars also commemorate Dionysius of Paris; neither tradition supplies a biography for the Athenian convert.
