Faustinus

About Faustinus

The Roman Martyrology preserves Faustinus with Jovita on February 15. The Catholic Encyclopedia treats most details in their Acts as legendary, while regarding their existence and martyrdom as the better-supported core. This account therefore does not repeat the Acts’ itineraries, torture scenes, or other episodes as established biography; it identifies the remembered pair and explains the limits of the evidence.
