About Victoria

Acisclus has an early Córdoba cult, while Victoria’s association with him appears later. The Diocese of Ciudad Real says their memories became joined through the circulation of martyr acts in the eighth century, and the Spanish archival authority record also presents the account as tradition. This evidence supports describing Victoria as part of a historical devotional cult, but it does not establish an independently verifiable biography or the familiar execution details. The Roman Martyrology commemorates the pair on November 17.
