Adeline of Mortain

About Adeline of Mortain
Adeline gathered a community of nuns at Neufbourg near Mortain. The diocesan calendar identifies her as the sister of Vital, abbot of Savigny.
When Vital built a convent at Mortain, the women moved there. Their house became known as the Abbey of the White Ladies and later as the Abbaye Blanche.
Nominis remembers Adeline as its first abbess.
The Diocese of Coutances and Avranches commemorates her on October 20 alongside other saints of Savigny.
