About Agatha Lin
Agatha Lin was a Chinese Catholic educator and catechist in Guizhou. Her ability to read and write enabled her to teach girls and later to take responsibility for a school in Guiyang. She also supported her family when persecution left her father unable to work.
Her teaching eventually brought her to Mokou, where she served alongside other catechists. The received account describes their arrest during opposition to the local Catholic community and their refusal to renounce their faith. They were executed in January 1858.
