About Albert of Montecorvino
Albert was a bishop of Montecorvino in southern Italy. The short church account gives competing birthplaces in Normandy and near Montecorvino.
It places his election between 1059 and 1075. According to the received account, he lost his sight in old age and endured mistreatment by his assistant bishop.
His death is placed at Montecorvino in 1127.
