Alchmund of Hexham
About Alchmund of Hexham
Alchmund became bishop of Hexham in 767. The church source explicitly states that almost nothing is known about his life.
It places his death in 781 and his burial beside Acca at Hexham. Later stories concern the rediscovery and movement of his relics rather than his episcopal work.
