Amasius of Teano

About Amasius of Teano
Amasius is remembered as Teano’s second bishop. The hagiographic account describes him as a priest displaced from the East during fourth-century religious disputes, who later preached in Campania. After being expelled from Sora, he became bishop of Teano, where the account places his death around 356.
His cult also reached Piedimonte San Germano, where the local historical account identifies him as patron.
