About Arbogast
Arbogast is venerated as an early bishop of Strasbourg. The official account describes uncertainty over his origins and whether he lived in the sixth or seventh century.
Much of the received narrative comes from a largely legendary life attributed to a tenth-century bishop. His memory became closely linked with Christianity in Alsace.
The source also notes bricks bearing his name as evidence connected with his building reputation.
