Biography
Asteria of Bergamo
About Asteria of Bergamo
Asteria is venerated as a martyr at Bergamo in northern Italy. The received story associates her with Grata and the burial of Alexander of Bergamo.
It places her death around 307. The church source explicitly judges the underlying passion account to be of doubtful value.
Her local veneration is therefore presented separately from the uncertain details of that narrative.
