Ava of Denain
About Ava of Denain
Ava is remembered as a nun and abbess at Denain in the ninth century. The local tradition connects her entry into the monastery with recovery from blindness, attributed to the intercession of Remfroye.
In this account, Ava gave her wealth to the church and entered religious life before becoming abbess. These details belong to the devotional tradition preserved by Nominis.
