Biography
Cessator of Limoges

About Cessator of Limoges
Cessator, also called Cessadre, is remembered as a seventh-century bishop of Limoges. Nominis preserves a tradition of his generosity toward people in hardship and his service to the church.
The same notice records a former church at Limoges bearing his name, as well as the parish church at Berneuil. These dedications preserve a local remembrance where the surviving account of his life is brief.
His local commemoration is listed on November 15.
