Cormac mac Cuilennain

About Cormac mac Cuilennain
Cormac was a bishop and king of Cashel in early medieval Ireland. The scholarly account distinguishes his episcopal status from the later label “bishop of Cashel.”
His bid for wider political power ended in defeat at Belach Mugna in September 908, where he died. He is credited with the Irish glossary Sanas Cormaic and may have helped compile the lost Psalter of Cashel, though these attributions require caution.
His Catholic commemoration is listed on September 14.
