About David Roldán Lara
David Roldán Lara was born in Chalchihuites, Zacatecas, on 2 March 1902. After his father's early death, family responsibilities shaped his life. He entered the seminary but left because of financial hardship and later worked for a mining company.
Roldán assisted the parish priest Luis Batis Sáinz and participated in Catholic youth activity. He was arrested with Batis, Manuel Morales, and his cousin Salvador Lara Puente. The four were executed on 15 August 1926 at Puerto de Santa Teresa. Roldán was canonized in 2000 with the Mexican martyrs.
