Gertrude of Remiremont

About Gertrude of Remiremont
Gertrude, also called Gébétrude, was the fourth abbess of Saint-Mont near Remiremont. Her life is known chiefly through the Life of Adelphe, which she commissioned. Historian Pierre Heili rejects the later claim that she descended from Romaric.
The chapter’s obituary assigns her death to November 7, 672. Her later cult includes patronage of the churches at Charmois-le-Roulier and Jussarupt.
