About Honorina
Honorina is remembered as a martyr, but the details of her life are not securely recoverable. The Diocese of Versailles presents her through the history of her relics and the community that guarded them. A tradition connects the relics with Normandy and their later arrival at Conflans. It does not supply a reliable account of her birth, occupation or death.
At Conflans, monks associated with Bec-Hellouin were asked to care for the relics and welcome pilgrims. A church dedicated to Honorina was consecrated in 1086. These medieval institutions are firmer evidence for her cult than stories set centuries earlier. The town’s name still preserves the dedication.
Local devotion also connects Honorina with boatmen on the rivers. Her profile therefore records the continuing cult without claiming a precise martyrdom date or place.
