Joachim Ho

About Joachim Ho
Joachim Ho, also known as Hao Kaizhi, worked first with cotton and later as a coppersmith in Guizhou. Through Joseph Zhang Dapeng he learned Catholic teaching, and he was baptized after moving to Guiyang with his mother. He also made his house available for worship.
Persecution brought imprisonment and a long period of exile. After returning home, he was arrested again and refused to abandon his faith. The Holy See records his execution in July 1839. The individual biography also preserves a different date, which remains documented in the research notes.
