Landry of Soignies

About Landry of Soignies
Landry is venerated in the religious tradition of Soignies and Mons. The family tradition identifies him as a son of Vincent, also called Madelgaire, and Waudru.
The Catholic notice associates him with leadership of the monasteries of Hautmont and Soignies after an episcopal ministry.
The identity of his episcopal see is not settled by the consulted sources: Nominis names Meaux, while a later painted inscription at Sainte-Waudru names Metz.
His commemoration is listed on April 17.
