Litorius of Tours
About Litorius of Tours
Litorius is remembered as the bishop who established the first cathedral at Tours. The cathedral parish places that church within the old city walls and identifies Martin as his successor in 371.
His early church should not be confused with the present building, which took shape between the thirteenth and sixteenth centuries.
His local Catholic feast is September 13.
