About Mary Guo Li
Mary Guo Li was a Catholic mother and grandmother from Hujiache in Hebei. She married Guo Zhinfang and raised a household remembered in the church account for its Catholic faith. As persecution intensified in 1900, she urged her family not to abandon that faith.
Boxer forces killed her with two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren at Hujiache. She was canonized in 2000 with the Chinese martyrs.
