About Paulus Lang Fu
Paulus Lang Fu was a child from a Catholic household in the village of Lu in Hebei. The received account remembers him with his mother, Lang Yangshi, whose conversion had brought Catholic faith into the family.
During the Boxer uprising, attackers seized his mother and set fire to their home. Paulus returned from playing and was killed with her. Sources disagree about his age: the individual compilation describes a seven-year-old, while the Holy See's collective account lists nine.
