Savva the Recluse of the Kiev Caves

About Savva the Recluse of the Kiev Caves
Savva is remembered in the Orthodox Church in America's notice as a thirteenth-century ascetic of the Kiev Near Caves. Manuscript and liturgical sources call him a wonderworker. His April commemoration follows that of the martyr Savva Stratelates, his namesake, rather than establishing his historical death date. The page title says Far Caves while its body repeatedly says Near Caves; this internal difference is left visible rather than resolved by assumption.
