About Thamel
Thamel is remembered as a Christian martyr who had previously served as a priest of a pagan deity. Nominis places his death around 125, during the reign of the emperor Hadrian, somewhere in the eastern part of the Roman Empire. Its brief account includes his sister among the companions who died with him.
A Dominican martyrology commemorates him on September 4.
