About Jenaro Sánchez Delgadillo
Jenaro Sánchez Delgadillo was born in Zapopán, Jalisco, on 19 September 1886. He trained in Guadalajara and was ordained in 1911. As a priest in Tamazulita, he cared for parishioners and the sick.
During persecution, he continued celebrating Mass in private homes. Soldiers captured him and killed him by hanging on 17 January 1927. The church account also records injuries inflicted on his body. His remains were later moved to Cocula. He was canonized in 2000 with the Mexican martyrs.
