Lucian the Presbyter of the Kiev Caves
About Lucian the Presbyter of the Kiev Caves
Lucian was a priest associated with the Kiev Caves in the thirteenth century. The Orthodox Church in America's notice places his martyrdom under Batu around 1243 and says that no further personal information is known. It locates his relics in the Far Caves of Theodosius. His October observance follows the feast of his namesake, Lucian of Antioch; it is not treated as an established historical day of death.
